Double Switch - No Lift
1. Lie on your back with your knees bent and your arms relaxed out to the sides with your palms up.
â¢ Ankles, knees, hips and shoulders should be in alignment
2. Place the Inflatable block/pillow between your knees.
3. Place the Strap/belt around your ankles so they can go no more than hip-width apart
4. Simultaneously press your knees into the pillow while pressing your ankles/feet outward against the strap
â¢ Keep your feet on the floor and your upper body relax.
5. Hold each movement for about a second.
6. Repeat the exercises 20 times, up to 3 sets.
The exercise promotes better function and stability on the pelvis
Hooklying Elbow Squeeze Pullovers with Strap
1. Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor pointed straight ahead
2. Place the Strap/belt around your knees so they are hip-width apart
3. Place your arms above your chest with your elbows bent to 90 degrees
4. Place the Inflatable block/pillow between your elbows and gently squeeze in on the block throughout the exercise.
5. Move your hands and arms overhead to the floor and then return them back to their beginning position
6. Do 3 sets, each set consisting of 10 repetitions.
Double Switch - Lift
1. Lie on your back with your knees bent and your arms relaxed out to the sides, palms up.
â¢ Ankles, knees, hips, and shoulders should be in alignment.
2. Place the Inflatable pillow/block between your knees.
3. Place the Strap/belt around your ankles so they can go no more than hip-width apart.
4. Simultaneously press your knees into the pillow while pressing your ankles/feet outward against the strap.
5. Lift and lower your feet 4 to 6 inches off the floor using the muscles in the front of your hips/pelvis.
6. Donât actively flatten your back to the floor while doing this exercise. Keep your upper body relaxed
7. Repeat the exercises 20 times, up to 3 sets.
This exercise promotes proper flexion of the hip joints while limiting rotation at the knee and ankle.
